We are looking for a compassionate and reliable PSW to join our team, that is able to start ASAP and work in a Long Term Care Facility.

**Responsibilities**:

- Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning and disinfecting assigned surfaces including walls, windows, flooring, furniture, fixtures, and equipment
- Maintaining waste and linen removal
- Help the residents with meals, cleaning, escorting, diaper changes, getting dressed etc
- Operating and maintaining housekeeping equipment and implements
- Maintaining appropriate inventory and replenishment of unit specific supplies
- Utilizes procedures as trained in compliance with Health and Safety and Infection Control
- Attentive to care, consideration, and confidentiality of residents, staff and visitors
- Other related duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Certification as a Personal Support Worker or equivalent;
- Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and related bedside care to residents. Must be familiar with department policies and procedures.
- Must understand the basics of good sanitation and sterile techniques. Knowledgeable with respect to the needs of geriatric residents;
- Physical ability to lift up to 20 lbs (occasional to frequent), prolonged walking, standing, reaching
- Reliable, enthusiastic, able to prioritize, and to follow detailed instructions without direct supervision
- Reading and writing English fluently, and able to converse in English clearly
- 1-2 years experience in a Long Term Care Facility.
- CPR & First Aid.
- Latest Police Check with Vulnerable Sector Screen.
- 2 Step TB Test or CXR (Chest Xray) if TB Test is positive.
- Immunization Records.
- Fully Vaccinated for Covid-19 with booster shot.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 24-40 per week

**Salary**: Up to $25.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Burlington, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- CPR Certification (preferred)
- PSW Certification (required)
