The Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph in Canada has locations in Peterborough and London. We maintain residential homes for our Sisters who require differing levels of care, and we take seriously the desire in us to live in good relationship with our planet and all other life forms in creation.

We are looking for a compassionate, hardworking, team player to cover night, evening and short evening shifts in our 16 bed care unit in Peterborough. We also provide care to the Sisters who live in the Retirement side of the Residence as well. Experience in a geriatric environment, focusing on person centred care, is preferred. Demonstrated experience with differing forms of dementia would also be appreciated.

This position is for a Casual nights (1-2 shifts per week) and evenings (1- 3 shifts per week. The shifts are 5.5 and 8 hours) with the opportunity to pick up call in shifts as they become available.

The RPN oversees all medication administration, treatment provision and overall assessments of the Sisters each shift. Works with the Nurse manager to review and update care plan needs and communication with treating physicians.

Pay: $31.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 32 per week
