Strategic Development Trainee

EMCO’s **Strategic Development Program** teaches new teammates with little-to-no industry experience every aspect of the business from shipping and receiving, to sales, operations, purchasing, account management and everything in between.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Phase 1 - Warehouse Logistics - Learn the products we sell, how to efficiently warehouse and handle plumbing and heating products, learn how they get from the vendor to the customer and understand all levels of sales support. This phase will consist of shipping orders to various in-town and out-of-town customers, receiving inventory and putting away stock with a special project for you to improve the business how you see fit.

Phase 2 - Counter Sales - Get involved in our customer service, counter sales, order management, inventory and pricing controls & credit management.

Phase 3 - Inside Sales/Project Management - Go from helping customers with various product and service issues to managing large-scale projects. Opportunity to train in procurment and our pricing team.

Phase 4 - Operations/Account Management - Learn how to find new business opportunities, sell our products, negotiate contracts, and build customer and vendor relationships. Opportunity to develop skill in inventory management.
