**Purpose**:
In this role, the Coordinator will be primarily responsible for managing the overall workflow of the UOHI Data Science Centre and the UOHI Population Outcomes Research Unit (PORU). For the Data Science Centre, the role will involve coordination of access to the centre, managing the booking system for scheduling of centre space, and organization of facilitated centre activities and for the PORU, the role will involve liaising with research teams who want to initiate studies with PORU, coordinate all data access documentation with ICES administration and facilitate project meetings with the PORU staff epidemiologist and analyst and research teams.
Specific areas of responsibilities will include: managing the front-desk/check-in area for the Data Science Centre, organization and coordination of all scheduled Data Science Centre group activities (workshops, speaker series, etc.), liaising with operational teams both for the Data Science Centre and PORU to coordinate joint meetings, providing administrative support to core centre and PORU staff for data access requests, data management plans etc. and working with communications to regularly promote data science centre activities.
May provide direction to others in how to carry out work tasks.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage front-desk/check-in area
- Coordinate online scheduling system for cubicle area and space utilization.
- Organize, promote and facilitate scheduled activities in centre (workshops, speaker series, etc.)
- Support events with technology operation, setup, event execution
- Liaise with Information Technology to address technology function, monitor issue resolution
- Liaise with operational teams to coordinate joint meetings, study design and data sessions
- Provide admin support for Data Science Centre and PORU data requests, creation of data management plans
- Provide monthly reports on Data Science Centre use, attendance activities, feedback surveys and PORU research activities
- Liaise with communications to regularly promote Data Science Centre activities
- Review and update external / internal websites and social media promoting the Data Science Centre programs, participants, activities and events.
- Review and update display content within the Data Science Centre in collaboration with stakeholders, participants, and Communications.
**Qualifications**:
- Undergraduate degree/certificate in Administration or Communications or related field
- Requires 2 years of relevant experience
**Personal suitability**:
- Demonstrated ability to work independently. Self-motivated.
- Excellent interpersonal relations and communications skills, sound judgment and ability to foster a cooperative work environment
- Ability to work under pressure and to organize his/her work, in order to meet target objectives and deadlines
