Cannabis Store Manager

We are looking for a founder store manager to be responsible for the overall management of the tsore, staff, standard operating procedures, scheduling, inventory, compliance, supplies and all other tasks that arise in a dynamic retail environment.

The store manager will develop business plan, operational and sales objectives, maximize revenue goals and ensure sound record keeping. The incumbent will be accountable for one authorized store and obtain a Retail Manager License as part of the hiring process of The Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch (LCRB).

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
The duties and responsibilities of the _Store Manager_ include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Must adhere to all company standards of conduct;
- Manage all opening and closing procedures;
- Accountability and management of cash handling procedures;
- Train employees, develop top talent, provide constructive feedback to help employees meet expectations and goals;
- Lead, motivate, inspire, and coach employees to create a customer-centric environment resulting in a memorable and positive customer experience;
- Deliver exceptional customer service by observing, listening, interacting, and following up with customers to ensure satisfaction and issue/complaint resolution;
- Recruit, hire, and train all store employees in coordination with Human Resources

policies and procedures;
- Oversee and manage store merchandising, daily operations, collaborate with

marketing, and execute overall store and company standards;
- Provide weekly reports on cannabis inventory;
- Meet all compliances for inspections as per the guidelines;
- Meet all requirements/procedures/record keeping as per the guidelines;
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all employees and customers;
- Schedule store hours and staffing;
- Review and submit sales and operational reports to management; and

Other duties as assigned.

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum one to three (3-5) years of retail management experience or experience at a manager level in a customer service environment in the field of cannabis;
- Diploma or bachelor degree
- Strong leadership skills to manage and mentor staff;
- Knowledge of retail cannabis is considered a must;
- Strong computer skills and basic software experience;
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills including conflict resolution;
- Understand applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, safety regulations and standard operational procedure; and
- Strong floor leadership and coaching skills to develop and motivate staff.

**KEY RELATIONSHIPS**
This position interfaces with internal and external contacts:
**Internal**: management and owners
**External**: Customers, Suppliers, Vendors, Staff, The Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch (LCRB) Staff, City and Municipal Staff, Local Businesses, Community Event Planners

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Work normal business hours including evenings, weekends and holidays;
- Must be able to lift up to twenty-five (25) lbs.;
- Required to work in a busy, open area which may result in constant interruptions;
- Required to spend long hours concentrating which will require attention to detail and high levels of accuracy; and
- Required to meet a number of deadlines which may cause stress.

**Salary**: From $40,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:
