SEGULA TECHNOLOGIES is assisting a major automotive OEM in hiring a **Mechatronics
- Exterior Handles/Latches - DRE** **to join our growing team in **Windsor, ON.**

**Job Description**:
The Design Release Engineer is responsible for the engineering, design, development, validation, timing, and production release of Exterior Handles and or Lathes/Srikers based on the assigned projects. The Engineer will have end to end ownership of their components and ensure they meet vehicle functional objectives.

**Responsibilities**
- Component design, development, and packaging.
- Collaboration with PDO and Sciences, Design Verification Plan & Report (DVPR) testing.
- Change management.
- Bill of material maintenance.
- Prototype and production build support.
- Issues management.
- CAD model management in Teamcenter.
- Weight reduction, cost reduction and other efficiency improvement initiatives; and communicating technical product status to management.
- Supporting vehicle assembly plants for any product technical issues, support service teams for any field warranty issues and help in root cause analysis of the failures.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent program.
- Minimum 2 years design release, and CAD packaging experience.
- Release experience in both Mechanical and electrical components.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
