Bilingual Claims Service Specialist

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Victor. This role will be based in **Ottawa**, which would be a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office. We will also consider fully remote in **Montreal, Vancouver, or Toronto**.
As a **Bilingual Claims Service Specialist** In our Directors and Officers Department, you will work with legal counsel to develop and coordinate defense strategies to bring insurance claims to a prompt and final resolution
**We will count on you to**:
- Appoint, direct and work with external legal counsel across Canada and the United States to develop and coordinate defense litigation strategies for the prompt and final resolution of claims
- Review and assess new claims to determine coverage under the applicable insurance contract and take appropriate action
- Determine and report the liability and damages exposure of the insured in respect of a claim
- Coordinate and manage claim files including liaison with insureds, brokers, external counsel and internal clients
- Report to insurance company representatives
- Some travel may be required
**What you need to have**:
- Fluently bilingual in both official languages (French/English) is mandatory.
- 2+ years of work experience and/or educational background in legal, insurance, or claims adjusting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with exceptional customer service abilities.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills to effectively function in team environments and build client relationships.
- Service-oriented professional with a positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in MS Office.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $56,000 to $124,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
