Assessment accommodation
**Duties**:
- Conducting daily rounds to check on critical building systems and identify any issues or maintenance concerns.
- Conducting repairs and maintenance on a variety of building equipment such as HVAC, Scientific Growth Chambers, Boiler systems, Drinking water systems, and fire prevention system.
- Conducting monthly compliance inspections on fire extinguishers, boiler safety controls, pressure relief valve testing, and monthly testing of emergency generator.
- Other building or grounds tasks as delegated by the maintenance supervisor.
Pacific Forestry Centre:
- Assisting groundskeeper with maintenance tasks such as lawn mowing, line trimming, tree limbing, and snow removal.
Laurentian Forestry Centre:
- Maintain equipment and electromechanical systems in good condition to optimize their useful life.
- Support and supervision of subcontractors.

Experience repairing and installing mechanical equipment and components

Note: Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience that would normally be acquired by performing the duties for a minimum of approximately 2 years.
Knowledge of methods of repair and adjustment of mechanical equipment and components
Knowledge of building systems and mechanical equipment
Ability to communicate effectively in writing

Degree from a college or recognized institution in a program of at least two years in building service and maintenance.
