**Job Status**:Full-time, Permanent

**Joining Bonus**:$500 ($200 on joining + $300 after completing probation)

**Wage: $**23.38 - $23.78 per hour plus a comprehensive benefits package

**Summary of Position**:
The Maintenance Worker assists the Maintenance Manager with the maintenance and repair of all areas of the hotel.

**Responsibilities**:

- To maintain and repair the hotel’s guest rooms, pool, mechanical rooms and public areas
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, providing exceptional guest service at all points of contact
- Assist with furniture moving, when requested
- Perform all general maintenance duties assigned by the Head of Maintenance and by the Manager on Duty
- Assist tradesmen when needed
- Comply with all company policies and procedures as outlined
- Operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner
- Have complete knowledge of hotel fire standards and procedure
- Maintain compliance of all Health & Safety programs

**Qualifications**:

- Proven maintenance background, including electrical, carpentry, and plumbing experience an asset
- Hard working individual, self-motivated
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
- A strong team player with a passion for internal guest service
- Good communication skills and rapport with the general public

**Job Requirements**:

- Flexible availability for shift work
- Must be fully available to work weekdays, weekends and statutory holidays
- Must be able to lift 40lbs on a regular basis
