**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Director, Policy and Planning, Perioperative Network and working closely with the Perioperative Network Senior Director, Senior Medical Director, referring and receiving providers, and provider office administrative staff, the Manager, Central Intake is a key member of the Perioperative Network. This position establishes, implements and manages day to day operations of the NSH-wide multidisciplinary Central Intake team. The NSH-wide Central Intake multidisciplinary team receives, reviews and routes perioperative (surgical and endoscopic) referrals to the most appropriate provider utilizing validated current criteria and an e-referral tool. The manager is responsible for monitoring and reporting volumes, wait times and other key performance indicators.

The Manager adopts continuous quality improvement principles, innovation, and technological initiatives to advance Nova Scotia Health's commitment to enhance access to surgical care. The Manager facilitates and champions a learning and research environment that aligns with the current and proposed future state of Nova coth Health.

The Manager will support the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, goals and objectives to support and improve the delivery of health care services across the continuum.

The Central Intake team offices are located in Halifax.

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Bachelor's degree in a health related discipline
- Eligible for registration with relevant health disciplinary/college or association
- Certified Health Executive designation is an asset
- Minimum of 5 years working experience and responsibilities in a senior leadership or management position
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with clinical care providers required
- Demonstrated ability to establish and implement transformative initiatives required
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships and partnerships with stakeholders and team members in a virtual environment required
- Demonstrated high degree of independent decision-making, self-direction, motivation, change management, knowledge and team building/leadership skills required
- Experience within a health-related environment preferred

**About You Continued**:

- Experience in a perioperative/surgical service setting preferred
- Demonstrated ability to critically analyze evidence-based practices to inform strategy development and organizational planning
- Strategic planning and systems thinking
- Ability to analyze and interpret statistical data and monitor quality and performance indicators and benchmarks
- Possesses a sound knowledge of management and a working knowledge of information systems
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills

**Compensation and Benefits**:
$49.13 - $63.31 Hourly
