**Must Haves**
- Two years of recent related experience coordinating recreation programs for seniors
- Current certification in Emergency First Aid OFA level 1
- Valid Class 4 (unrestricted) drivers license with clear drivers abstract
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Having an activity aid certificate and/or diploma is considered an asset
**About the Role**
- Develop, implement, and assess therapeutic wellness programs for independent and assisted living residents, aligning with the Baptist Housing wellness model.
- Collaborate with assisted living manager, chaplains, and activity assistants to create customized activities
- Tailor programs to meet unique resident needs, foster community, and enhance holistic wellness
- Reviews, assesses and adjusts activity plans regularly based on observation, Team Member input and attendance.
- Coordinate and schedule internal programs and external outings
- Prepare activity calendar considering activation, life skills, recreation, and social needs
- Cultivate strong relationships with residents of the Oak Bay community and fellow team members.
- Ensures department coverage and program delivery through effective scheduling and workload distribution.
- Liaises with external agencies, recruiting resources for programs and events to meet Residents needs.
- Uphold Baptist Housing values as an ambassador for the organization.
- Report directly to the administrator

**Compensation and Benefits**
A competitive salary range between $28.00 - $30.00 per hour. Your comprehensive benefits include employer-paid extended health and dental coverage, along with a generous four weeks of vacation. Additionally, we provide RRSP matching contributions and support for your ongoing professional development.
