We are on the lookout for a fun, outgoing, enthusiastic self starter to join our team in our School Program working with children ages 5 to 12 years old. From September to June, the position is a Monday to Friday position split shift with hours similar to: 7am - 9am and 2:00pm - 5:30pm (approximately 25-28 hours) For the summer, this is a full time position Monday to Friday (approximately 30-38 hours).

To be a successful member of the team, we are looking for an individual with experience working with children and is capable of taking initiative in leading groups of children in an inclusive fun environment

**Requirements**:

- Ability to program plan and implement age appropriate activities
- Independently and co-operatively supervise a large group of school children
- Strong group management skills
- Ability to lead and direct group activities
- Amazing communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain collaborative relationships
- Ability to take initiative and follow directions to meet program goals.
- Overall supervision of children indoor and outdoor
- Organize and execute field trips on full day care days (ie: spring break/summer)
- Ensure program standards are upheld and implement policies & procedures

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 1 year working in a child care setting, camp leader, city program
- Responsible adult certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid first aid certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid Criminal record check
- ECEA or ECE license to practice is considered an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $17.40 per hour

Expected hours: 27 - 35 per week

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)

**Experience**:

- working with children: 1 year (preferred)
- customer service: 1 year (required)

**Language**:

- fluent English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- ECEA or ECE license to practice? (preferred)
