**Key Responsibilities**
- Environmental Compliance:

- Conduct site assessments to ensure adherence to federal, provincial, and local environmental regulations.
- Monitor project activities for compliance with environmental management plans and standards.
- Sustainability Initiatives:

- Develop and implement strategies to minimize environmental impact during construction and maintenance operations.
- Promote sustainable practices within the project scope.
- Reporting and Documentation:

- Prepare environmental assessment reports, including site inspections, testing results, and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of permits, approvals, and compliance records.
- Stakeholder Engagement:

- Provide guidance and recommendations to project managers regarding environmental risks.
- Risk Management:

- Identify potential environmental hazards and propose mitigation strategies.
- Oversee waste management practices and ensure proper disposal methods are followed.
- Training and Education:

- Conduct environmental awareness training for employees and contractors.
- Promote adherence to best practices in environmental safety and sustainability.

**Requirements**:

- Education:

- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in environmental compliance, assessment, or management within construction or energy sectors.
- Experience with high-voltage or infrastructure projects is an asset.
- Technical Skills:

- Knowledge of Ontario-specific environmental regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in environmental monitoring tools and software.
- Strong report writing and data analysis skills.
- Soft Skills:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Certifications (preferred):

- Certified Environmental Professional (EP) designation.
- Training in hazardous waste management or environmental risk assessment.
