Responsibilities for Accounting Associate:
Accounts Payable:

- Assemble documents related to expenditures for Project Managers approval
- Enter invoices and upload copies to QBO once approved
- Maintain accurate listings and records of Accounts Payable
- Initiate supplier payments using available methods (EFT, Etransfer, Credit Card, Cheque)
- Record supplier payments in QBO
- Review supplier statements to ensure that all invoices and payments have been captured

Accounts Receivable:

- Create Customer invoices in QBO and/or manually as requested by Project Managers
- Once approvals are obtained forward to customers
- Review aged AR for customer payments and reach out to customers with PM approval
- Deposit payments, record in QBO and reconcile customer accounts as needed

Payroll:

- Review time sheets as entered into Tsheets, make changes as needed
- Support Accounting Manager with payroll processing
- Complete WorksafeBC returns

Office:

- Answer phones and relay messages as needed
- Order office supplies
- Maintain files in One Drive for both AP and AR

Qualifications for Accounting Associate:

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree
- 1+ years accounting experience
- Knowledge of GAAP and CRA reporting requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all level of an organization
- Experience with QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Diligent, accurate, punctual

Pay: $19.72-$31.38 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

- DCS / DEC (preferred)

**Experience**:
