**Position Location**: Northwoods, North Vancouver
- **Expected hours of work **Thursday to Sunday (5am to 1:30pm)**

**Job Summary**:
We are looking for a Bakery Clerk to join our team. The focus of this role selling our baked goods to customers, managing baked goods and ingredient inventories, and taking control of the daily cleanup procedures in the department. This role will also monitor ingredient expiry dates.

A Bakery Clerk’s responsibilities include the day-to-day operations of the bakery, such as packaging baked goods, ensuring that customers are well served in the bakery, while also helping the team with baking and decorating tasks as needed.

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Assist customers with the baked goods selection to assist with purchasing decisions
- Ensure the store is clean, safe and ready for shoppers
- Weigh, price, and package purchased items
- Maintaining and building various bakery department displays
- Rotation, loading and unloading of bakery department product
- Stock and replace products to avoid any damages
- Keep shelves fully stocked with fresh products
- Backroom and inventory management
- Track ingredient expiry dates and arranging their use accordingly
- Clean the kitchen and prepare it for the next day
- Performs other related duties as assigned

**Required Skills/Abilities**:

- Proven customer service or retail experience is a plus
- Great attention to detail
- Good communication and people skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

**Education and Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred

**Physical Requirements**:

- Must be able to stand during scheduled shift, withstand repetitive walking, reaching, and bending for long periods of time
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds at times
- Frequent hand coordination, bending pushing, pulling, and twisting
