We prioritize an inclusive and supportive workplace culture, making it a great environment for those looking to contribute to projects that truly benefit the community. **The Role** In the role of Manager, Electricity Policy, you will independently lead strategic policy and project development to support key government energy priorities and manage complex energy transition initiatives. You'll directly supervise and mentor the Utility Regulatory Specialist, ensuring the delivery of affordable and reliable electricity—essential for a healthy economy and crucial for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented policy professional to contribute to impactful projects while thriving in a supportive, team-oriented environment dedicated to positive change for the people of British Columbia. **Qualifications**: **Education and Experience Requirements** - Degree in public administration, law, business administration, social science or a related field. - Minimum 3 years’ experience in a policy advisor or similar role, drafting legislation, legislative amendments, policy and regulations, policy papers, and briefing notes. - Minimum 3 years’ experience advising senior executives on implications of policy and legislation and consulting with stakeholders at a senior official level on policy and legislative issues. - Minimum 3 years’ experience policy research and inquiry skills, including the ability to: review and critically analyze complex policy issues/documents, and identify and analyse ramifications of proposed options and responses. - Minimum 3 years’ experience leading and coaching multi-disciplinary senior management teams in the development and implementation of a diverse range of projects. **About this Position**: An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
