**Position Summary**:
The warehouse lead has general responsibility for leading the warehouse activities on a daily basis in the assigned department. Essentially, the warehouse lead is responsible for completing individual work duties (i.e.: receiving, sorting, processing, picking, packing, loading, etc.) and distributing daily work assignments along with monitoring daily production results from the employees assigned to that particular department(s).

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**: (Other duties may be assigned):

- Uses a RF scanner to determine the proper products to be moved, gathered, or distributed for completing customer orders.
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets, shelves or conveyor belts based on the necessary route for either the packing station or shipping department.
- Operates industrial trucks to move products efficiently. Assists in the implementation of standard operating procedures in order to achieve the most productive working environment.
- Receives processed orders, verifies accuracy of order and scans order into computer system.
- Banding product securely to respective pallet using company standards to ensure our customer’s satisfaction.
- Utilizes machinery to shrink wrap products on pallets.
- Sets an example for coworkers and exercises leadership and leads by example.
- Stresses the importance of teamwork and effective communication to all employees.
- Ensures inbound and outbound orders are accurate and free of damage.
- Ensures the efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area and conduct operations in a manner that enforce and promote safety.
- Trains new employees on fulfillment of customer orders from start to finish.
- Evaluates employee’s forklift skills and determines their ability to maintain forklift certification.
- Attend warehouse meetings with other department leads, supervisors, and human resources and interacts with customers and other Aalberts IPSA employees in a respectful, collaborative manner.

**Ability**:

- Ability to make decisions without supervision. Ability to maintain a very professional image when under pressure and to lead the team in a positive way. Ability to handle personnel issues without bias behavior and maintain strict confidentiality of all personnel related incidents.
- Must possess good communication skills (both verbal and written) in order to effectively interact with carrier representatives and others in the organization. Must be able to read and comprehend English in written documents.
- Ability to perform basic mathematics including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and averaging with both whole and fractional numbers.
- Must be willing to work irregular and/or extended hours on short notice as required.
- Must be able to adapt to the warehouse environment and prioritize work activities.

**Supervisory Responsibilities**:
Will oversee the employees for the assigned department(s). Will be responsible for the following:

- Assisting in performance evaluations.
- Assisting with the implementation of policy and procedures and any mandatory training that are assigned.
- Monitor attendance and report any issues to Human Resources.
- Train new employees and complete all required warehouse evaluations.

**Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a Warehouse environment required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience operating an industrial truck.
- Minimum of 6 months experience utilizing an RF Scanner.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis required.
- Strong initiative and self-motivational skills.
- Previous experience in shipping/packing/loading function.
- Able to stand, walk, pull, and bend 100% of the day on a continuous basis.
- Able to operate banding tool to secure product to pallet.
- Utilize various types of packing supplies to protect product on pallet for shipping.
- Must possess strong computer capabilities.

Pay: $25.50-$28.75 per hour
