**Job Summary**
In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring work areas for fire hazards and ensuring the safety of personnel working in confined spaces. Duties include: maintaining constant surveillance, enforcing safety protocols, responding to emergencies, and ensuring compliance with site-specific regulations.

**Responsibilities**
- Monitor worker area for small fires and related hazards
- Perform housekeeping duties such as cleaning debris, hosing down work areas, organizing related tools and equipment, filling out logs and paperwork
- Monitoring confined space areas for worker safety
- Implementing procedures and controls for entry into the confined space, including gas testing
- Identifying hazards, monitoring conditions, ensuring safety, and communicating effectively

**Requirements**:

- Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods while monitoring work areas.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively relay information.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel involved.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week

Work Location: In person
