**Amir Quality Meats** is a Wholesale meat production company located in Brampton Ontario with an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician. We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven, outside-of-the-box thinker to help grow our business.

**Responsibilities**
- Maintenance and repairs of all equipment and general building maintenance
- Machine set-up
- Machinery installation

**Equipment and Machinery Experience**
- Tool grinders
- Power tools
- High speed packaging equipment
- Hand tools
- Fans and blowers
- Conveyor
- Pneumatic system

**Additional Skills**
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications

**Area of Specialization**
- Start-up and testing
- Bearing, seals and packing
- Troubleshooting

**Weight Handling**
- Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

**Specific Skills**
- Repair or replace defective machinery parts
- Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up
- Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions
- Installing machinery and equipment
- Assembling machinery and equipment (prior to installation)
- Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
- Operate machining tools to fabricate parts
- Program programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment

**Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities**
- Work under pressure
- Physically demanding
- Attention to detail
- Standing for extended periods
- Bending, crouching, kneeling

**What you bring**:

- Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification - preferred
- 2 Years experience in a similar position
- Experience in food, or similar industry
- Forklift Operator Certification
- Working At Heights
- Able to speak and write legibly in English
- Proven teamwork abilities
- demonstrated problem solving skills, good attention to detail
- Results oriented, sense of responsibility and good judgment
- Demonstrates a high degree of autonomy, initiative and resourcefulness
- Must be able to work in a cold environment (-18C in the freezer and 4C in the cooler)
- Ability to understand and process paperwork as required
- Must be punctual, reliable, and hardworking
- **MUST BE ABLE TO WORK IN CANADA**
