Asphalt Quality Control Technician

**BURNCO** is hiring an Asphalt Quality Control Technician who will make our great **Edmonton, Alberta** team even better. This is a full-time seasonal position reporting to the Quality Lead within our Edmonton Asphalt Division.

**Responsibilities will include, but are not limited, to the following**:
- Daily truck sampling and testing of hot mix asphalt.
- Sampling and testing of aggregates and RAP from crushing operations.
- Perform Laboratory testing following ASTM/ AASHTO test procedures.
- Communicate results to Quality Lead.
- Record and document test results in Microsoft Excel.
- Assist with mix design preparation.
- Other duties as assigned by the Quality lead.
- Must be able to lift up-to 50 lbs.
- Minimum Class 5 driver’s license.
- Must be willing to regularly work some overtime, weekends, and occasional night
- Ability to work safely and maintain daily documentation as per BURNCO policies.
- Must be team oriented.
- Must demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Proficient with computers and technology.
**Education and Experience**
- Minimum high school diploma, Civil engineering Technician / Technologist diploma (Preferable).
- Recently graduated or up to two years’ experience.
