We are currently seeking a marine tech to join our team. Full time year round,

We are full service marina with 3 locations in Muskoka. We are a Kawasaki, Legend, Limestone Ilmor, Mercury, Volvo and Indmar dealer as well as a Mastercraft authorized service center. We will provide manufactures service training. This is a permanent full-time position to start as soon as possible and offers competitive compensation based upon experience.

This position requires mechanical experience, positive attitude and a strong work ethic as well as working well with others, problem solving, continuous learning and reliability.

Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and have a clean driving abstract and criminal background check.

Assets

Mercury/Mercruiser, Volvo, or any other manufacture Certification
Valid driver’s license
Boating license
Marine Experience an asset
Experienced at trailering boats
Automotive experience
Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and successfully repair the equipment
Travel to sites for service calls when required, keeping time accounted for
Assisting with maintaining a clean environment at the dealership
Ability to accurately quote jobs
Assist in maintaining the marinas vehicles
- trucks, trailers, fork lifts

Ability to use a computer for electrical diagnostic software systems
Ability to trailer boats and water craft safely
Be accountable for your actions
Willing to work outdoors and around water
Willing to work weekends during the summer
Must be a team player

Qualifications:
High school level education
Valid G or higher Driver’s License and vehicle
Minimum 2 years work experience in the operation, repair and maintenance of small equipment, both gasoline type engines; diesel equipment & Hydraulic systems are an asset.
Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment with accuracy and speed.
Work effectively & cooperatively with fellow employees
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing about repairs
Ability to maintain written equipment maintenance records.
Minimum basic knowledge of marine motors additional training will be available for product specific knowledge and operations.
Be willing to take training
Wages will be based off of knowledge, work experience and certifications.
