ABOUT AVENUE ROAD
Avenue Road is a design destination, exhibited through highly curated experiences, each a reflection of the vision of Founder Stephan Weishaupt. Locations include expansive showrooms and residential concept spaces in New York, Miami, Toronto, and Vancouver; each providing a unique perspective from which to experience the world of Avenue Road.
Established in Toronto in 2007, and born from a desire to connect, curate, and cultivate meaningful relationships between makers and design devotees. Fueled by a love for design and an entrepreneurial spirit, Avenue Road teams offer a personal approach, working collaboratively to help realize both residential and commercial interiors across the globe. Avenue Road honors the authenticity of the products and materials with which they are crafted, as well as the stories of those who create them.
The Opportunity:
**Responsibilities**:
- Handle sales of all architectural product lines including sales quotations, rendering in Vectorworks or equivalent, budget planning, client negotiations, order management, installations, and on-going relationship management
- Project management: monitoring timelines, ensuring deadlines are met
- Building and nurturing new and existing relationships within the A&D and Developer industry
- Competitive analysis and benchmarking
- Contribute to the overall conquest and retention strategies
- Sales monitoring, sales analysis, and pricing strategy
- Manage and achieve quarterly and annual sales targets
- Negotiate with trades for installations and overall projects
- On-going sales monitoring and analysis of all architectural sales activities
- Additional responsibilities as requested or required
Skills/Attributes:
- Architectural Design experience (3-5 years) required
- Rendering abilities is a must. Experience with Vectorworks is an asset - experience with an equivalent software is also interesting
- Very strong project management skills
- Strong relationships in the Architectural, Design and Development communities
- Strong understanding of architectural plans; Experience with AutoCAD software an asset
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to speak articulately and concisely in group settings
- Superior troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, active listener, and critical thinker
- Availability to work Saturdays (approx. 2 per month)
- Highly organized and ability to multitask in a dynamic team environment
- Excellent computer skills in Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Experience with inventory/database, preferable SAP
- Second language an asset
