The newly renovated William Watson Lodge (WWL) is located in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park, overlooking Lower Kananaskis Lake. The lodge provides year-round, barrier-free lodging for persons with disabilities, seniors and their families. **Role Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Caretaking Services Supervisor, this position is primarily responsible for caretaking and grounds maintenance around the William Watson Lodge facility as well as other Alberta Parks facilities within the Kananaskis Valley, Bow Valley.

The Caretaking/Maintenance Services worker will work closely with all members of the William Watson Lodge Team, Trails Team and Visitor Information Services Staff to ensure high quality of cleaning, sanitation and upkeep of cabins as well as other buildings throughout the park.

Key responsibilities include cleanliness, and upkeep of guest cabins, and WWL grounds as well as ensuring safe access to pathways, buildings, parking stalls, and Alberta Parks infrastructure for visitors as well as staff.

Additional responsibilities will include general upkeep and maintenance of equipment.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum Recruitment Standard:

- Some high school education and one-year related experience.
- Equivalency:

- Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of one year of education for one year of experience or vice versa.
- Additional Requirements:

- Standard First Aid with AED.
- You must have good physical stamina to work in all weather conditions and the ability to lift 25kg.
- Assets:

- Experience in cleaning and sanitizing washrooms, sleeping and common areas.
- Experience using and maintaining caretaking and landscaping equipment and tools.
- Knowledge of OH&S and WHIMIS.
- Ability to load, unload and drive a trailer.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and understanding of Microsoft Office software.
- Familiarity with Kananaskis Country and surrounding area
