Ceva is seeking a Waste Treatment Operator for a 6 month contract on the night shift who is passionate about vaccines and science

Ceva offers an expanding range of products for companion animals, poultry, swine, and ruminants for Canadian customers.

**About the Job**

The Waste Treatment Operator is responsible for overseeing the waste treatment equipment and weekend bird care duties.

**The Waste Treatment Operator works Sunday to Thursday, 10:00PM to 6:00AM.**

**Duties Include**:
Waste Treatment Equipment
- Oversees the waste treatment equipment
- Read meters and gauges to ensure equipment is operating normally
- Troubleshoot backups and problems that occur
- Submits tickets to maintenance as needed
- Contacts on-call maintenance technician as required for issues beyond troubleshooting capabilities

General documentation
- Detailed, accurate, concurrent, complete record keeping

General miscellaneous
- Follows all safety procedures
- Follows standard operation procedures and company policies
- Assist with general cleaning duties associated with the daily operations.

Maintenance and Care of birds and bird rooms
- Feed and water all birds and record observations as set out
- Control room temperature and humidity
- Replace or clean vent filters
- Clean and sanitize production and animal facilities
- Record daily temperature of all refrigerated units; report problems

**About You**
- You have a high school diploma
- You are mechanically inclined
- You are an independent worker
- You have a basic understanding of chemicals and PH/levels or the capacity to learn about chemicals and PH levels
- You have past experience operating technical machinery/computerized equipment (eg. production equipment or waste treatment equipment)
- You think science and innovation is awesome

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $920.00 per week
