**Part-Time Tutors Wanted (High School Grade)**

**Math/Physics**

Are you passionate about teaching and fulfilled by seeing kids grow to their maximum potential? We have an excellent opportunity at New Age Academy of Learning in Surrey, BC to fulfil your passion of teaching and making some extra cash by working Part-Time.

We are currently seeking **Math and Physics Tutors** for **Grade 8**to **Grade 12**starting in **Jan 2025.**

Materials is provided to all Tutors saving prep time. Hours of work and days are flexible and will try to fit your schedule as best as possible.

**Position Requirements**
- You are available between the hours (3:00pm - 7:00pm) as well as some Saturdays (11am - 2:00pm).
- You are reliable and passionate about teaching.
- The position and work is on-site in Surrey.
- Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

**Education**:

- Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
- University students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
- Teaching certification an asset
- Good knowledge of the current Grade 8 to Grade 12 BC Curriculum

**Experience**:

- 2 Years experience teaching/tutoring for Grade 8 to Grade 12 (or equivalent)
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
- Ability to multitask and balance working with a small group of students with varying needs

**Responsibilities (Position Details)**

You will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities:

- Teaching between 4 to 5 students at a time at different levels of knowledge and learning needs
- Able to Tutor Math and Physics to Grade 8 to Grade 12 highly desirable.
- Teaching in-person
- Adhering to New Age Academy of Learning principles and methodology
- Filling in post-lesson notes
- Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times
