This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys numbers and equations, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas.Position RequirementsAll Teacher-Tutors at Oxford Learning work during after-school hours starting at 3pm Monday to Friday and occassional Saturdays. Hours are based on what is need at the Centre on any given day.This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.We encourage you to apply if you have the majority of the following requirements:EducationBachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field is preferredUniversity students with tutoring experience will be consideredGood knowledge of the current Grades 8 to 12 math including Pre Calc 11 and 12, Physics and ChemistryExperienceExperience teaching/tutoring math at a Grade 8 to 12 (or equivalent) levelStrong English written and oral communication skillsStrong math skills and ability to guide students’ understandingAbility to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a timeResponsibilities (Position Details)You will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities:Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levelsFollowing the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophiesFilling in post-lesson notesCompleting daily student communication updatesMaintaining a friendly and professional manner at all timesSmiles, High-Fives & Happy StudentsRoleIn this position, you will play a key role in helping students develop their self-confidence and self-esteem.
