**Position Overview**:
The City of Prince Albert is seeking a creative professional for the role of Digital Content Creator. This role will be instrumental in developing compelling visual content, implementing effective social media campaigns, and shaping Prince Albert's digital narrative through positive visual communication. The Digital Content Creator will specialize in video production, photography, graphic design and social media strategy. This position will also form an integral part of the Communications office team, providing support and guidance to the corporation on communications initiatives with consideration given to sensitivities related to messaging and political impact.

**Principle Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Produce high-quality videos that capture the essence of Prince Albert's events,

community initiatives, and operations, from concept development to post-production

editing.
- Develop and execute social media strategies to increase engagement, reach, and

followership across multiple platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram,

and YouTube.
- Collaborate in marketing city facilities and programs through Facebook and Google ads

and crafting attention-grabbing radio ads and eye-catching visuals.
- Create visually stunning and impactful photography and graphics that showcases the

beauty and diversity of Prince Albert, aligning with brand guidelines and messaging.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather content ideas and stories, ensuring

alignment with strategic objectives and audience preferences.
- Design and maintain web pages on the City of Prince Albert website, optimizing user

experience and accessibility and ensuring content accuracy and relevance.
- Write engaging and informative copy for marketing materials, corporate communications,

website content, and social media posts, adhering to brand voice and style guidelines.
- Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages, and proactively

engage with the community to foster positive interactions and relationships.
- Stay up-to-date with digital trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in video

production, social media, and visual storytelling, and incorporate innovative strategies

into content creation efforts.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including local media outlets, to

amplify the city's digital presence and reach a broader audience.
- Analyze performance metrics and user engagement data to measure the effectiveness of

digital content strategies and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
- Provide support to the Communications office through the creation and implementation

of communications plans on behalf of the organization; providing and/or coordinate media

training to authorized employees, handle media inquiries and assist spokespeople in

preparing key messages for responses and oversee and prepare for press conferences

and community events for the organization.
**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Digital Media, Marketing, Communications, or related

field; and
- At least 5 years of proven experience in video production, with a proficiency in filming

editing and post-production software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar

tools; or
- At least 5 years of proven experience in photography and graphic design, with a proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools;
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
