The position will tentatively start on August 24th, 2026. (2026/2027 Sask DLC Academic Calendar is to be determined) Sask DLC is a newly formed Treasury Board Crown Corporation in Saskatchewan, created to deliver high-quality and equitable online learning programs to students across the province. Sask DLC’s head office is located in Kenaston, with an administrative office in Regina, and eleven regional campuses located in Swift Current, Moose Jaw, Estevan, Yorkton, Saskatoon, Regina, Kenaston, Nipawin, Prince Albert, Neilburg and La Ronge. The Campus Principal will report directly to the Superintendent of School Operations and will oversee the effective delivery of our online courses in alignment with Sask DLC’s centralized course development procedures and the Saskatchewan curriculum. This role is responsible for the leadership and management of a campus community, ensuring that all educational, operational, and student engagement goals are met. The Campus Principal will supervise STF Teachers, CUPE Support staff such as Online Learning Facilitators and/or Educational Assistants, monitor student progress, and ensure strong communication between the campus staff, parents, and their school division counterparts. This individual will be instrumental in fostering professional development, recruiting and hiring qualified staff, and creating a positive and effective learning environment. Primary Responsibilities Online Courses and Saskatchewan Curriculum Delivery Oversee the delivery of online courses by teaching staff, ensuring they meet the standards of the centralized course content processes and Saskatchewan curriculum. Collaborate with educators to adapt and implement engaging, effective, and accessible online learning resources. Monitor student progress in online courses with Online Teachers and Student Support Teachers and contribute to the adjustment of strategies to enhance educational outcomes. Teacher Supervision Supervise and support teaching staff to maintain high instructional standards. Conduct scheduled performance or appraisal reviews and provide ongoing feedback to educators. Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement through mentorship and guidance. Educational Assistant and Online Learning Facilitator Supervision Manage the daily operations and supervision of Online Educational Assistants and Online Learning Facilitators by following the established schedule for remote and in-person meetings. Ensure that staff are effectively supporting student learning and contributing to a positive and safe school environment. Promote professional growth through training, workshops, and performance evaluations. Professional Development Organize and promote ongoing professional development opportunities for staff. Ensure all staff members are familiar with and equipped to implement contemporary educational strategies, technologies, and best practices in online learning. Foster a culture of life‑long learning and professional growth through the completion and annual review of Professional Growth Plans. Student Progress Reports Oversee the submission and distribution of accurate, timely, and comprehensive student progress reports. Work with Online Teachers and Student Support Teachers to monitor student achievement and identify areas requiring additional support. Communicate student progress with parents and other stakeholders regularly, ensuring transparency and engagement. Recruitment and Hiring Support recruitment efforts for new Online Teachers, Educational Assistants, and Online Learning Facilitators. Conduct and participate in panel interviews, review candidate qualifications by facilitating reference checks, and select staff members who align with Sask DLC’s mission and educational goals. Collaborate with senior administration to ensure that staffing levels and skill sets align with the needs of SaskDLC and its students. Onboarding Ensure new staff are provided with a Sask DLC account and necessary Information Technology hardware. Provide information regarding access to campus, parking, employee identification, and workspace prior to start of employment. Communications Act as the primary point of contact for parents and guardians, ensuring regular and open communication about campus or organization‑wide activities, student progress, and general updates. Foster positive relationships with the campus community, including students, parents, local organizations, and other educational stakeholders. Address parent concerns promptly and professionally, while maintaining a focus on student well‑being and success. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Ability to be flexible and adapt to change. Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines. Ability to manage confidential material and maintain staff and student privacy. Proficiency in using digital platforms for teaching and communication. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective teaching practices. Knowledge and experience integrating Indigenous content, perspectives, and cultural practices into the curriculum. Familiarity with assessment tools and strategies for online learning. Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues in a remote context. Passion for fostering inclusive, culturally relevant learning experiences for all students. Required Education and Experience Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.). Previous experience supervising and supporting teaching and student support staff. Proven educational leadership and preferably, within online curriculum delivery. Valid Saskatchewan teaching certificate with SPTRB and membership with STF. Master’s degree in education or related field (preferred).
