Product Manager

**Position: Product Manager**

**About the Position**:
The Product Manager will be responsible for developing and pushing products into both current and potential markets. The Product Manager develops ongoing, profitable relationships with vendors and customers by providing the highest level of expertise and customer service while maintaining the professional image and culture of the Company.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**_ Strategic planning_**
- Provide input to future product plans by becoming the expert on what competitors are doing in the marketplace; helping to shape future product plans and direction.
- Identify key business use cases and drive enhancements and requirements into the product development process.
- Develop a product roadmap that conforms to the company vision.
- Collect pricing and positioning data.
- Contribute and participate in annual strategic planning.

**_Supply Chain_**
- Understand and develop relationships with suppliers.
- Design products and coordinate with engineers and third-party manufacturers to develop products according to roadmap.
- Support demand forecasting and other strategic inventory decisions
- Play a key role in negotiation of pricing, terms and conditions of suppliers.
- Contribute to monitoring and reducing cost of goods.

**_Sales_**
- Collaborate to set appropriate product pricing and positioning in the various marketplaces.
- Work with customers, sales teams, and services teams to help close sales.
- Actively support teams in competitive situations.
- Review sales engagement reports and provide timely feedback.
- Conduct product positioning and features and benefits training.

**_Marketing_**
- Responsible for product content and messaging as it relates to products.
- Support category management and e-catalogues.
- Strategize and recommend lead generation activities.

**_Analysis & Reporting_**
- Responsible to communicate to management team on all key KPI’s

**_Legal, Finance and Administration_**
- Work with General Counsel to negotiate contracts with third parties.
- Participate in the budgeting/forecasting process.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products.
- 5 - 10 years of experience in a related position.
- Undergraduate degree, MBA preferred; or equivalent related experience.
- Technical background, with experience or education in a related engineering field.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Highly effective project management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to prepare marketing proposals with a blend of focused research, strategy and creativity.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Energetic, self-motivated, and results oriented.
- Proven team player who is both flexible and adaptable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
