We continue to grow and today are looking for a committed, talented, star to join our team as our **Sanitation Manager.**
**Position Summary/Objective**:
The Sanitation Manager is a solutions-oriented individual responsible for the development, implementation, execution, evaluation, and continuous improvement of all aspects of the sanitation program at all Riverside locations to ensure it is robust and world class. This position is part of the Central Quality Team and will be required to be flexible to support the overnight shift as required.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Demonstrate and uphold Riverside’s Core Values
- ** RESPECT **and promote the company’s health and safety program, maintain a safe working environment, and ensure continued compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and JHSC recommendations
- Take **OWNERSHIP **to develop, implement, and support sanitation programs, sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOP), daily and non-daily cleaning frequencies, and hygienic equipment and infrastructure design
- Develop and execute a sanitation focused learning and development program for sanitation, production, quality, and maintenance **TEAMS **in aspects of proper chemical use and sanitation steps to ensure compliance with all company and regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Support people development through training, technical skill development, audit readiness assessments, and mentoring
- Work with the chemical supplier to select, understand and approve sanitation chemicals
- Establish, track and trend critical sanitation metrics (micro swabs, ATP swabs, pre op deficiencies, compliance to schedule, etc.) to measure performance and achieve improvements while maintaining all standards
- Drive program continuous improvement by monitoring key performance metrics through onsite assessments that focus on sanitation tools, sanitation processes/procedures and overall understanding of the sanitation program
- Supports food safety responses as requested by providing sanitation and sanitary design expertise in a variety of activities including sanitation related challenges
- Manage the communication of best practices, implementing policies, troubleshooting and problem solving and supporting plant activities on specific projects across the organization
- Provide sanitary design expertise through direct involvement to CAPEX projects
- Suggest changes to existing equipment and facilities to improve sanitation results (efficacy and efficiency)
- Keep up to date on the most recent sanitation techniques, products, and equipment
- Keeps the work atmosphere** FUN** by keeping it light and welcoming

- Reports to the Director of Food Safety and Quality

**Education & Qualifications**
- Proven sanitation management experience within a food manufacturing facility
- Previous sanitation leadership at a manager level
- A demonstrated ability and desire to work with people, both individually as well as in teams
- Understanding of GFSI (preferably BRC) standards
- Technical knowledge and practical experience in hygienic design
- Knowledge of CIP and spray ball technology
- Knowledge of allergen management including processes to validate/verify effectiveness
- Experience with zoning and environmental monitoring in food manufacturing
