Courier Driver with Box-truck Experience

Hartrans is looking for a G driver with box-truck experience. This is a permanent position to start end of August.

Responsibilities include:

- sorting & scanning freight.
- loading your truck for safe and efficient transportation of freight.
- delivering and picking up freight.
- properly completing paperwork.
- accurately counting and verifying freight.
- daily vehicle inspections.

Requirements include:

- G licence with a minimum of 3+ years of verifiable box-truck experience (letters of experience from previous employers may be required).
- clean driver abstract and good references (including references from supervisors or managers).
- ability to lift and carry 75 lbs and comfortable with physical work.
- attention to detail when completing paperwork and verifying freight.
- LTL / Courier experience is an asset.
- Forklift Operator licence is an asset but not required.
- calm, professional, courteous manner and excellent customer service skills.
- ability to get along with others, take direction, learn quickly and have a can-do attitude.
- punctual, dependable and present a professional image.
- ability and willingness to start 6:30 am.
- comfortable using smart phones and apps.
- legally allowed to work in Canada.
- reliable transportation to get to work on time.
