Sales and Service Specialist

Prairie Battery is excited to add to our sales team due to high demand of high quality battery and battery related products within our industry.

As a family owned and operated company your position will also encompass assisting within the branch for general duties and tasks.

Additional Expectations:

- Scheduling appointments and visiting existing customers to review product needs and determining other opportunities.
- Providing product quotes as required.
- Organizing and attending joint sales calls with Vendors.
- Reporting
- Opening new accounts.
- Continuously updating customers on product changes and modifications.
- Providing solutions to customers' problems.
- Attending Trade Shows and Conferences (if applicable).
- Product introduction of new releases.
- Preparing reports for sales and keeping expense accounts.
- Performing maintenance and updating of customers' accounts including contact names for future sales.
- Keeping up to date on new products, services, procedures and tools by attending training and departmental meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Travel Expectations**:

- Company vehicles will be available for use.
- 35-50% of outside travel
- When visiting customer within or outside city limits. The expectation would be to come into the office in the beginning of the day and near the end of the day.
- Most trips are scheduled and pre planned. However, depending on business needs there can be trips with mínimal notice.

**Must Have**:

- **Computer knowledge (excel/word)**:

- **1 year sales experience or business development experience**:

- **Speak English**:

- **Ability to lift 50-70 lbs.**:

- **Be a team player**

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
