**ABOUT THE ROLE**

This position will:

- read and interpret engineering drawings with emphasis on dimensions and perspectives
- determine and plan the sequence of operations
- follow verbal and written instructions of numerical dimensions and tolerances
- set up, operate, and maintain machining tools
- load and unload material
- align and adjust punches and dies as required
- lay-out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler
- maintain proper tolerances; make appropriate adjustments for angles and dimensions
- cut and fit material for assembly using powered saws, shears, bending, or punching machine
- inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances using precision measuring instruments
- anticipate and troubleshoot challenges
- assist the machining shop with other related projects as needed
- ensure fabrication is done to a high-quality standard and according to schedule

**ABOUT YOU**

To succeed in this role, you will have:

- experience in setup and operation of CNC brake press
- physical abilities to move metal and other materials
- a strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- familiarity with using measuring tools to confirm dimensional accuracy
- experience working with sheet metal
- knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance
