**Job Summary**
Reporting to the Supervisor of Metal Fabrication and working closely with the Team Leader. The Brake Press Operator is responsible for setting up and operating the equipment to bend and form sheet metal prodcuts in accordance with specifications. They may also be required to learn/or operate secondary CNC equipment such as Trumpf Press Brake machines.

**As a Brake Press Operator, you will...**
- Set up, adjust, and operate CNC machine according to work orders and specifications.
- Ability to comprehend blueprint drawings and perform bend requirements in accordance with specifications.
- Responsible for performing manual programming adjustments to achieve quality parts.
- Use manual pump trucks, cranes (overhead / jib) and lift devices as required to move material and finished product(s)
- Monitor machine operation and perform trouble shooting tactics when necessary.
- Ensure parts are manufactured in accordance with quality standards, target plans and verify correct run quantities.
- Visually inspect parts after each machine cycle and perform inspections as required
- Optimize the running of parts to best take advantage of the machine’s operating time
- Filling out production boards with output for the shift as well as assisting in planning afternoon shift production
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and follow organizational practices.
- Strives for continuous improvement in all aspects of the work environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Who are we looking for? Someone who has...**
- High school diploma
- Post secondary education or CNC certification considered an asset
- Minimum 1-year experience as a CNC Machine Operator
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read an imperial tape measure and blueprints
- Excellent mechanical/mathematical aptitude and manual dexterity
- Good communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with mínimal supervision
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift, up to, 30 lbs.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement manufacturing principles considered an asset

**Work Arrangement**:Onsite

**Work Location**:90 Belfield road, Etobicoke M9W 1G4

**Shifts Available**:

- Day shift is 40hrs/wk (Monday - Friday; 6:30am - 3 pm)
