**Job Description**:
**DISTRIBUTION OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR - AFTERNOON SHIFT (1:30pm - 10:00pm)**

As a Distribution Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of a clean, modern distribution centre. You will ensure the safe, efficient movement of product through a range of processes including receiving, order selection, and shipping.

**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**
- Planning and distributing daily work assignments.
- Conducting pre-shift meetings.
- Onboarding, training, and evaluating new employees.
- Working closely with the Leadership Team to collaborate on projects and initiatives.
- Working with the Safety Team to ensure safety procedures are being followed and fostering a strong safety culture.
- Completing required safety inspections.
- Tactfully addressing employee issues.
- Communicating with transport carriers to facilitate the timely shipment of orders.
- Working with business partners to resolve service issues.
- Preparing end-of-shift reporting to the Leadership Team.
- Ensuring the accuracy of entries in the Payroll Management System.
- Participating in the annual Inventory Cycle Count.
- Participating in monthly/annual training as required.

Qualifications:
**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
- High School diploma.
- 5 years of warehouse experience with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
- Previous experience with Warehouse Management Systems and RF technology (SAP experience is an asset).
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekend work as required.
- A team player with a desire to work collaboratively with others.
- Working understanding of proper forklift operating procedures.
- Strong focus on safety with an understanding of Provincial safety standards.
- Previous participation in in Health & Safety Committees is considered an asset.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Tactful and professional approach to dealing with issues.
- Previous union experience preferred, but not necessary.
- Strong problem solving skills with a bias for action.
- Must be physically capable of standing / walking for extended periods of time.
