**Description of Duties and Responsibilities**:
The Recovery Treatment Team Housing Outreach Worker (HOW) reports to the Recovery Treatment Team Manager. This position provides housing support aimed at individuals actively engaged in recovery, facilitating their journey towards stable housing. The HOW will secure housing in a timely manner for individuals who are referred to the Recovery Treatment Team Program through the Medically Supported Detox.

**In addition, the Housing Support Worker will**:

- Provide intake services to potential clients
- Refer individuals to housing in the private and non-profit markets in the City of Edmonton, screen to ensure the best possible fit for both clients and landlords, and coordinate the move
- Build landlord relationships that are respectful and professional
- Complete all necessary paperwork in a timely matter regarding housing the client
- Provide support to landlords during housing
- Complete data input on ETO
- Provide client briefs to Follow Up Support Team members
- Interact with clients in a caring, non-judgmental manner
- Attend general staff meetings
- Attend training as required
- Any other related task or responsibility assigned by the Manager

**Position Requirements**
- Diploma or degree in a human services field and 1 to 2 years’ experience working with a marginalized population
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of addictions, mental health, and marginalized populations.
- Demonstrated level of literacy and communication skills sufficient for job responsibilities
- An open, accepting, and non-judgmental attitude with an ability to build rapport with clients and landlords
- Valid First Aid with CPR certification
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check
- Reliable transportation with 2 million vehicle liability insurance
- Knowledge of Edmonton’s housing market is considered an asset
- Basic understanding of the Landlord and Tenancy Act

**Hours of Work**:Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $49,500.00 per year
