**Role Summary**

Reporting to the Food and Beverage Services Manager, this position is primarily responsible for ensuring all public and private spaces of the club are clean, presentable, and organized. The Club Cleaner's primary responsibilities are to maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and functionality of the public and private areas of the club.

**Responsibilities**
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean, wrinkle-free, and in line with the club’s policy
- Follow appropriate personal hygiene procedures to ensure services are rendered in a safe way for all members, guests & associates including but not limited to disinfecting hands
- Cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining public and associate washrooms daily
- Ensuring each washroom stall, urinal, and sink are clean and sanitized as per club specifications
- Toilet paper, hand soap, hand towels, mouth wash, and shoe polish are stocked
- Washroom garbage’s are emptied and clean
- Fold and maintain club towels be they cloth or disposable and communicate inventory with Food and Beverage Services Manager
- Clean and disinfect all major touchpoints in the club as per club specifications
- Make certain the public and private spaces of the club are free of dust and debris with a focus on frames and furniture in public spaces
- Ensure all public and private air vents are clean and clear of dust and debris
- Ensure public and private spaces are consistently vacuumed, including touch-ups between events in private rooms
- Uphold cleanliness in the club’s private elevator, including cleaning mirrors, vacuuming carpets, and disinfecting elevator buttons
- Maintaining the clubs flooring & carpets by ensuring they are washed on a consistent basis as well as buffing, waxing, and performing minor repairs when necessary
- Polishing brass fixtures and wood finishing in public and private areas of the club
- Polishing and cleaning all windows and glass inside the club
- Collect and properly dispose of all garbage and recycling from all public areas and offices
- Ensure all telephone booths are clean and maintained daily
- Perform minor repairs and touch-ups as required in the club and alert the Food and Beverage Services Manager to any major repair or alteration needed
- Replace and maintain all light fixtures including changing all light bulbs
- Maintain and inventory all audio-visual equipment including but not limited to batteries, duct tape, markers, cables, and adapters
- Set up and tear down all audio-visual equipment for events
- Ensure event facilitators are comfortable with their equipment and audio-visual setup
- Upkeep all storage space and maintain their organizations and cleanliness
- Assist front of the house team with physical room setups by moving chairs, tables, or any other furniture to meet the room requirements
- Assist with summer closure work including deep cleaning flooring and carpets, painting, and any projects that may be required
- Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program
- Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- At least one year of related work experience
- Knowledge of basic sanitation controls and purpose and use of cleaning supplies
- Knowledge of basic home repairs
- Must be comfortable using tools and power tools
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Must be extremely responsible with integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion

**Working Conditions**
- Must be able to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Required to move, lift, carry, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 40 pounds without assistance
- Stand, sit or walk for an extended period or for an entire shift
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, and pulling
- Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
