**About Parkinson Wellness Projects (PWP)**

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of people with Parkinson’s disease? Parkinson Wellness Projects (PWP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the well-being of people living with Parkinson’s, as well as their care partners and families. We provide evidence-based exercise classes, counselling, and support groups to foster a strong and supportive community.

We are looking for a **Fundraising and Communications Coordinator** to play a key role in growing our impact. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position will develop and implement fundraising and communication strategies to strengthen donor relationships, increase public awareness, and support the financial sustainability of PWP.

**Key ResponsibilitiesFundraising**
- Assist in developing annual fundraising plans, targets, and related budgets to increase donor engagement.
- Coordinate fundraising activities, including: community stewardship campaigns,major and planned giving programs, monthly donor program, corporate sponsorship campaigns, fundraising events and community-wide donor acquisition campaigns.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and grant funders.
- Prepare materials and coordinate speaking engagements for donor outreach.
- Track and report key fundraising metrics (e.g., donor retention, grant success rates, event revenue) to the Executive Director.
- Implement and maintain the PWP Donor Recognition Program.

**Communications**
- Develop and manage high-impact communication strategies to increase public visibility and engagement.
- Oversee media and public relations, branding, and marketing materials.
- Design and produce print and digital collateral, newsletters, and campaign materials.
- Maintain and build partnerships with community organizations, service clubs, and sponsors.

**General**
- Work with the Executive Director and Board Treasurer to prepare the annual budget and financial reports.
- Provide reports and insights to the Communication & Volunteer Committee and Board.
- Attend relevant committee meetings and collaborate with Board members to align fundraising and communication efforts with organizational goals.
- Assist with general office administrative duties.
- Assist with volunteer orientation and scheduling.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

**Qualifications & SkillsEducation & Experience**
- Post-secondary education in fundraising, communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in fundraising, donor stewardship, event coordination, or grant writing _(non-profit experience preferred but not required)_.
- Experience with digital and print marketing, including working with external vendors.
- Prior experience working with or reporting to a non-profit Board _(preferred)_.

**Skills & Abilities**
- Clear, effective, and professional communication skills.
- Strong relationship-building and donor stewardship abilities.
- Self-directed with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficient in managing digital platforms (Keela, Mailchimp, Meta Ads, Canva, Squarespace, etc.).
- Knowledge of fundraising legislation, confidentiality standards, and CRA charitable giving guidelines.

**Hours**:37.5 hours/week. Occasional weekend/evenings are required depending on events.

**Wage**: $25 - $30 per hour based on experience, plus 4% vacation and 2% stat pay.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
