We open doors for youth and prevent adult homelessness. We serve at-risk youth experiencing homelessness, aging out of care, or fleeing violence in the home. Young adults who need a place to call home and people who believe in them. We offer safe housing, community, and support to help youth make healthy choices and shift toward a brighter future.
**Position summary**
Under the direction of the Director of Development, the Fundraising Assistant supports the implementation of fundraising strategy, with emphasis on administrative support to maintain strong relationships with donors and members of our community. Some communications duties, including social media posts and interactions, will be required.
This is a part-time position, 20 hours/week, specific Monday - Friday schedule to be determined with the manager.
**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Maintain Threshold’s brand image, voice, and reputation as identified in the communication guidelines
- Lead and execute day to day administrative support, including mailing thank you letters and issuing tax receipts in a timely manner
- Monitor social media and maintain a high level of engagement for Threshold’s accounts
- Content creation for social media, campaigns, and website in support of the Director of Development
- Assist the Director of Development tracking and reporting on key metrics
- Assist the Director of Development in maintaining the donor database and donor relations
- Contribute to the development strategy of building and maintaining strong donor relationships
- Support the coordination of events, including fundraisers and the annual general meeting
- Assist the Director of Development with visual storytelling through video and photography for newsletters, PowerPoints, reports for stakeholders, and marketing collateral
- Coordinate and facilitate donation drop-offs
**Education & Experience**
- Post-secondary studies in a relevant field with demonstrated experience operating a customer relations system in a social services environment
- A combination of education and experience will be considered
- Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills
- Experience dealing with confidential matters
- Cultural competency and experience engaging and working with diverse communities
- A demonstrated client centred positive approach
- Superior organizational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with MS Office suite (including Word, Excel and Outlook), Wordpress website, Canva and Adobe Creative
- Proven track record of building partnerships and collaboration

**Working Conditions**
- Part-time position (20 hours per week)
- Flexible schedule during Monday to Friday and as needed for events
- Travel is required to attend events, conferences, and meetings
- Operates out of the main administrative office
**Special Requirements**
- Valid drivers’ license and access to a reliable vehicle with adequate insurance (business level)
**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
