**Carpenter and Junior Superintendent**

**Role & Responsibilities**
- Work on commercial and/or light industrial construction sites to ensure compliance with design, project specifications, regulations and safety codes.
- Work with and report to the Construction Manager to ensure project is completed to client specifications, within budget and on-time.
- Perform general carpentry work and assess quality control (QC) in accordance with approved blueprints/drawings throughout all stages of the project process.
- Monitor progress against established timelines.
- Ensure a safe workplace at all times through compliance with our safety policies and procedures
- Support all sub-trades onsite; provide feedback and enforce company policies
- Accurately complete necessary paperwork and documentation. (i.e. timesheets, daily reports - labour, materials and equipment, and health & safety requirements)

**Qualifications and Requirements**
- Journeyman Carpenter Certification is required along with associated certifications. High School Diploma is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ of direct work experience working in commercial and/or light industrial construction.
- Knowledge of OH&S regulations and related commercial/ light industrial building codes.
- Intermediate computer skills including knowledge of web-based software, Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe PDF are required.
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License is required.

- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to develop positive working relationships with internal staff, sub-contractors and clients.
- A self-starter who takes a proactive approach.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, adhering to strict deadlines and commitments.
- Ability to make decisions and recommendations in a rapid paced, forward evolving environment.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour

Additional pay:

- Bonus pay
- Overtime pay

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
