**Position Overview**

As the Superintendent, you are responsible for all field operations required to construct the project. Primary responsibility is for the success of all projects, including but not limited to the areas of quality, scope, budgets, timelines, safety, staff performance, and customer satisfaction.

**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Coordinate and supervise all construction activities;
- Direct all field staff to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications;
- Develop and maintain the construction schedule; identify and solve problems;
- Work with the Project Management Team and Estimating Team to accurately define and price any changes to the work and incorporates changes as specified once approval is received;
- Order materials and schedule inspections as necessary throughout the construction process;
- Understand the project plans, specifications and the Quality Control required;
- Hold subcontractors accountable to the terms of our agreement, plans, and specifications;
- Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees;
- Manage drafted schedules and supervise completion of the final project close-out through to Substantial Performance and Total Performance of the work;
- Promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices and rectify job site hazards immediately
- Abide by our internal site refuse and recycling policies and document our strong record in this regard
- Ensure all company employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy;
- Maintain an organized job site, including the construction office.

**Required Experience and Education**:

- Commercial Construction: 8 years
- Superintendent or lead supervision: 5 years

**Qualifications**:

- Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter
- Competent Computer skills - Such as Outlook - Excel - Project Management Software
- Blueprint Reading
- Valid Drivers Licence
- Legislation Awareness
- WHMIS
- First Aid & CPR Level C
- Prime Contractor
- Fall Protection
- The ability to travel and work flexible shifts, which include weekends, evenings and statutory holidays.

**Salary**: $100,000.00-$130,000.00 per year

- Edmonton, AB: Relocate before starting work (required)
