**The Opportunity**

Leavitt Machinery is looking for a **Freight Coordinator** to join our team in **Coquitlam, BC**. As the Freight Coordinator you will be responsible for the management and coordination of equipment freight.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**

As the Freight Coordinator your key responsibilities will include:

- Collect transport costs for rental equipment
- Report on freight expense recovery metrics
- Track the use of Leavitt owned freight trucks, ensuring cost reconciliation and optimal utilization
- Assess market rates to ensure company assets are charged effectively, improving expense recovery
- Administer rental freight deliveries for local branches in the most efficient and cost-effective manner
- Coordinate and execute maintenance schedules for freight assets
- Ensure freight truck driver credentials adhere to company requirements
- Assist with local branch coordination, including answering incoming phone calls and greeting and assisting branch visitors

**Required Skills & Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, Operations, or a related discipline is preferred
- 1-3 years of related sales or customer service experience
- Working knowledge of transport truck capacities and limitations
- Knowledge of the metropolitan area for pickup and delivery of rental equipment
- Superior interpersonal skills, communication skills, and analytical skills
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel and Word
- Prior experience with Microsoft CRM is an asset
- Excellent organizational skills
- A self-starter with the ability to work with limited supervision
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment
