**Job Duties**
- Arranging freight shipments utilizing various modes of transport domestically, U.S.A and internationally
- Documentation generation for domestic and international shipments
- Daily tracking & tracing of shipments with carriers
- Updating clients daily on the status of their shipments
- Vendor rate negotiations
- Ensure vendor invoicing approval and auditing is completed accurately and in a timeframe consistent with company policy
- Respond to customer rate requests in a timely manner
- Filing and maintenance of files on a daily basis
- Problem solve cases of missing documentation / lost freight as required
- Advise management of any issues or problems with customers, carriers or vendors
- Provide operational support for co-workers when needed
- Ongoing professional improvement through participation in educational courses, seminars and webinars

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Halifax, NS B3J 3K1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
