We are seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing operation. Reporting directly to the senior management team, you will ensure that production processes run smoothly and efficiently while maintaining quality standards and meeting deadlines.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Oversee production planning to maximize shop efficiency, minimize downtime and ensure deadlines are met
- Provide leadership, direction and motivation to production workers
- Work with scheduling to develop production schedule and assign work to various departments based on deadlines and resource availability
- Collaborate with production department heads for project management and to streamline operations
- Work with maintenance department to schedule preventive maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, oversee monthly expenditures and present annual capital investment budget to management
- Coordinate with engineering and sales departments for order specific details and specifications
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and work closely with Joint Health and Safety committee to promote a safe and respectful workplace
- Adhere to company quality standards and work with QA department for continuous process improvement
- Evaluate employee performance, identify training needs, recommend advancements and initiate disciplinary action when required;
- Interact with customers or vendors as needed
- Some administrative work required

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 5+ years experience in a similar leadership role
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong leadership, inter-personal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent problem solving, prioritization and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work under time constraints and in high stress situations while remaining calm
- Working knowledge of various manufacturing equipment and tools preferred
- Prior fabrication and/or welding experience a definite asset (Red Seal certification)
- Drawing interpretation and blueprint reading required
- Experience with Quality Management Systems and implementing process improvements (ISO 9001 experience a plus)
- Ability to troubleshoot operational issues effectively and efficiently
- Good working knowledge of industry health and safety regulations
- Experience with a unionized workforce an asset
- Proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office

Must have some schedule flexibility to accommodate occasional overtime or weekend work for rush projects or pending deadlines

Pay: $85,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
