We are now recruiting for a **Production Supervisor**at our **Surrey, BC** production facility. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor all aspects of the shift operations and ensure that production goals are met.
The incumbent will ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building, product and staff. This includes, but is not limited to, achieving the service goals, staffing, training, timeliness and quality of paint products for internal and external customers, effective use of equipment, and housekeeping.
This position requires hands-on supervision in the plant, a team attitude and ability to work independently.
The days of work will either be **Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday**.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Supervision_
- Manage and enforce health and safety initiatives.
- Train and onboard employees into new positions.
- Develop staff and set individual goals and objectives and ensure they are met.
- Create an atmosphere of mutual co-operation and team work.
- Provide hands-on leadership, motivation and supervision of the day-to-day duties.
- Ensure that all team members are aware of all Cloverdale Paint Policies and Procedures and that they are followed.
- Assist in managing annual vacation requests.
- Work with health and safety regulatory in making sure all safety policies are followed.
- Complete quality checks on production batches.
- Coordinate a successful hand off between shifts.
- Be a hands-on supervisor when required to assist in the making and filling of product.
- Ensure raw materials are aligned with the production schedule, coordinate deliveries and assist in the unloading and storage.
- Operations_
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Determine daily production schedule in conjunction with the Plant Manager.
- Control and reporting of raw material inventory.
- Maintain a clean, organized, efficient, and safe plant operation.
- Ensure that all orders for both internal and external customers are accurate and delivered as promised.
- Make recommendations to improve efficiencies, ensuring safety and production standards are met and lead CI projects.
- Other duties as required.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Previous supervisory and quality experience in a manufacturing environment considered a strong asset.
- Process engineering and/or lean green belt skills a strong asset
- Possess excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform and deliver accurately under tight deadlines.
- Possess a solid understanding of team building with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office.
- Detailed accuracy with record keeping.
- Forklift, reach truck and walkie rider certification.
- WHMIS and TDG certification.
- Post-secondary education an asset.
- Familiarity with lean principles an asset.
**This role will required shift work, and overtime when needed.**

Pay: $45.00-$47.00 per hour
