Shipper / Receiver - Machine Shop

We are looking for a Shipper/ Receiver to join our team in Regina. This position is not your typical Shipping/ Receiving position where you are picking orders and restocking inventory. Our Shipper/ Receivers unload & load raw material of all shapes & sizes. They wrap, palletize, package and band parts, pieces and components which are always changing from one day to the next. In this position you will spend a lot of your time driving around acting as a courier dropping items off and picking items up. This position would be ideal for someone that has experience in an industrial manufacturing setting that involvespaying attention to detail, being organized, working efficiently, multi-tasking and ensuring good quality. Some experience as a Shipper/Receiver is preferred but not necessary as long as you are able to confirm why your experiences would help you to be an asset in this position.
**Responsibilities**:
Prepare our customer's order for shipping by ensuring completeness of the shipment, proper protective packaging, and accurate shipping documents.
Receive materials and inspect incoming shipments for condition and completeness of the received order.
Stage material throughout the shop and in Cold Storage facility
Ensure proper identification, protection, and placement of the materials.
Operate forklift
Operate overhead crane
General shop clean up
Schedule freight carriers
