**Our Corporate Services Department is seeking a Division Manager, Infrastructure Services who will lead our IT Infrastructure team. This team is responsible for implementing and operating the organizations IT infrastructure both on premise and in the cloud. This role is responsible for ensuring our IT infrastructure is effective, secure and resilient.**

**The Division Manager, Infrastructure Services reports to the Director Information Technology & Fleet Management and falls within our Management / Leadership, Level 4B job family.**

**This role**:

- Leads the Infrastructure Services division within the Corporate Services department and is responsible for providing leadership and direction for managing the organization’s IT infrastructure on premise and in the cloud including computers, laptops, servers, networks, phones, cell phones, software and related infrastructure. Ensures that infrastructure practices and architecture are optimized for resilience and cyber security. Provides leadership for meeting corporate IT infrastructure requirements; evaluates potential solutions; and identifies products and strategies providing the most value added for the organization.
- Accountable for the Division’s budget preparation and reporting and ensures the appropriate allocation of costs. Monitors and controls spending to ensure the effective and efficient expenditure of allocated funds; guides and directs staff on cost control; and contributes to the preparation of long range financial plans.
- Responsible for ensuring the ongoing integrity and stability of data and integration systems. Provides guidance for complex performance issues. Ensures effective security processes and policies are in place to protect Metro Vancouver’s IT infrastructure and data and develops and designs new infrastructure to support the organization’s changing business systems.
- Provides overall direction and leadership to the help desk, desk side support, print shop, and implementation and technical planning teams. Provides direction for establishing staffing and service levels and ensures the division’s services meet operational requirements. Provides guidance for issues that arise in the delivery of products and services and addresses escalated issues.
- Develop strategies for achieving maximum returns on technological investments; provides leadership for identifying, managing and supporting diverse IT infrastructure products and systems; and makes decisions and recommendations for IT policies, processes and standards. Stays current with new technology, software trends and best practices. Evaluates the effects of changing technology on existing and future infrastructure solutions and makes recommendations accordingly. Liaises with other IT divisions integrate solutions.
- Responsible for hiring, supervising, directing and motivating staff and monitors performance towards corporate objectives; ensures staff adhere to corporate and board policies. Leads, coaches, mentors and develops staff recognizing the importance of training. Resolves technical, operational or relational issues staff encounter while doing their work.
- Leads the development and implementation of IT infrastructure requirements for strategic initiatives such as upgrading and implementing enterprise management systems. Ensures the division’s activities are consistent with the organization’s values and goals and provides leadership to address complex challenges. Liaises with other divisions, departments, consultants and external service providers; provides advice and guidance; and represent the division and department as required.
- Performs other related duties as required.

**To be successful, you have**:

- 10 years of recent, related progressive experience supplemented by a university degree in a relevant field such as information technology, computer science or business administration; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Relevant professional designation(s) and/or certification(s) such as Project Manager Certification (PMP) and/or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE).
