We are partnering with them on the search for a Manager, Examinations to join their team in Halifax, NS. Reporting to the Director, Program Delivery and Registrar, this role is responsible for the successful planning and delivery of all examinations leading to the chartered professional accountant (CPA) designation in the Atlantic region and Bermuda.

Responsibilities will include:

- Plan and execute on the regional activities involved in the successful delivery of all CPA examinations in the Atlantic region including oversight, administration and coordination of the sourcing, training, and scheduling of examination invigilators and supervisors
- Collaborate and coordinate with vendors and contractors on ordering, shipping, storage, and testing of examination hardware (i.e., laptops, WIFI hubs, etc.) and continually assess the performance of vendors
- Become a super-user of the existing and evolving examination software, ensuring CPA examination writers are appropriately enrolled for access to their examination and ensuring any approved accessibility needs of writers are met
- Closely monitor all scheduled examinations in process at approved examination centers and report to management and national colleagues accordingly
- Work with the Communications team in the coordination of all examination-related communications to ensure they are timely, relevant and of high quality
- Manage and provide oversight of the contract examination personnel, including performance management
- Prepare and provide oversight of the annual budget and business planning as it relates to examinations, accountable for budget variance analysis identification and reasoning
- Act as a representative of CPA Atlantic School and actively participate on the national standing and ad hoc examinations working groups and attend other national committee meetings, as required, and assigned
- Some travel to national committee meetings as well as travel within the Atlantic region may be required from time to time
- Act as a spokesperson and ambassador for CPA Atlantic School whenever the opportunity presents itself, formally and informally presenting CPA Atlantic School's mission, programs, and services in a strong, positive, and professional manner
- Other related duties as assigned by the Director, Program Delivery and Registrar
- Relevant experience in the education sector or management of examinations in other professions would be considered an asset
- Experience at a managerial and/or project-management level would be considered an asset; a background in accounting or possession of an accounting designation is not required
- Proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel and willingness to learn new examination software technologies
- A demonstrated ability to manage all logistics in an operational capacity (people, processes and technology) within stipulated deadlines
- Exceptional organizational, customer service, problem-solving, and communication (oral/written) skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
