**Employment type**:

- Full Time 35-44 hours per Week

**Starting rate**:

- Program Workers - $19.08-$20.08/hr.
- Registered Early Childhood Educators - $21.86- $22.86/hr.
- **On top of the base wage, Program Workers working in Licensed Child Care and Ontario After School Programs (OASP) receive a $2/hr. Wage Enhancement**

**Full-time placement offers**:A comprehensive benefits package after 3 months. Additionally, these positions have opportunities to participate in a company matched retirement savings plan after 3 months.

**Qualifications needed for Employment**
- **College and/or University Diploma/Degree in**:Child and Youth Worker Diploma/or; Recreation and Leisure Diploma/or; Ontario Teachers College Diploma/or: Registered Early Childhood Educator;

- **Registered with the Ontario Teacher College/ College of ECE’s if applicable Diploma. - **At time of hire - Proof of membership in good standing

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
The role of the Program Worker is to help carry out the day to day operations of the child care centre, helping implement programs for children in care within the requirements of the current curriculum following How Does Learning Happen? Deliverables include but are not exclusive to:

- Responsible for care and safety of the children;
- Prepare daily plans for assigned activities consistent with program curriculum handbooks;
- Supervise and instruct children assigned to your group;
- Follow the safe arrival and departure practices;
- Follow the healthy principles of child development, High 5;
