**Role and Responsibilities**: Duties include, but are not limited to:

- Maintain mapping templates in compliance with regulations and standards as indicated by clients. This work will be reviewed by a senior professional.
- Support projects from initiation to completion while assisting teammates with workloads to ensure priorities and deadlines are met.
- Follow QA/QC guidelines for figures being sent to clients.
- Update datasets regularly as new information becomes available.
- Assist with maintaining geospatial data in both online portal and local geodatabase environments.
- Assist senior staff to analyze and interpret the results of the data.
- Regular update of all GIS system components (desktop, portal).
- Download government datasets to update internal spatial database.
- Collaborate with operations staff on mapping requests and provide suggestions.
- Ongoing training within the team to keep up to date with new technology and processes as they are implemented.
- Assist with field support; this may include working outside of regular working hours when required.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor Degree or Technical Diploma from a recognized post-secondary technical institution, or equivalent experience
- 0-2+ years of hands-on Geospatial industry experience
- Experience with the ESRI ArcGIS software suite
- Knowledge of DLS and NTS land survey systems
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and command of the English language
- Strong interpersonal skills
- High level organizational and time-management skills
- High attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize deliverables
- Proven ability to take initiative, be a self-starter and be a quick learner
- FME ETL software and Python programming experience would be considered an asset
